LESSON 6

Follow-Up Plan (Watering the Seed)

RESOURCE

Follow-Up Opportunities

A list of potential follow-up opportunities you can leverage to initial a reach-out to contacts.

Goal: Staying top of mind; staying on their radar. That way, when a need comes up for mediation, you’re the first person they think of.

Referrals don’t always happen immediately—it often takes multiple touchpoints. Use a structured follow-up process to stay top-of-mind:

Best Practices for Follow-Ups:

  • Always provide value – Don’t just “check in”; share an insight, ask about them, or offer to help.
  • Mix up your methods – If they didn’t respond to an email, try a text or call.
  • Use a follow-up tracker – Keep notes on conversations, responses, and when to follow up next.
